4-layer PCB vs. 6-layer PCB |
||||||||||||||||||||
| The DDR400 memory module with a 4-layer PCB is
acceptable for multi-use. The concept that 4-layer PCBs are not acceptable to many power users is due to many low-cost, poor quality 4-layer memory modules in the market. However, high-capacity memory modules are not necessary for some uses. Even though a memory module is built by the 4-layer PCB, its performance will be able to surpass the 6-layer PCB by a proper circuit structure and design technique. Considering that, CENTURY MICRO reassessed the basics of memory modules, and we released the CE040 to satisfy all users. The CE040 is a very simple memory module which has 4 SDRAMs and 128MB or 256MB memory capacity respectively. Although it is a low-end model which was built with the 4-layer PCB design, the impedance, the signal integrity, and the anti-cross talk are controled accurately by the efficient wiring. The CE040 is a high-performance memory module. We believe its functional beauty is accepted by all users.
