Memory modules are precision electronic devices. Please
proceed according to this manual and also the manual of your machine in
order to use correctly.And also for handling of machines and accessories,
read the manual with care, and follow the directions of the
manufacturer.
Please note that warranty does not apply to repair arising
out of the malfunction caused by mis-handling.

Please install memory module yourself or let
your shop do it. Please note that if you install memory module
other than the original one, it might nullify the warranty of
the machine. You may need some special tools for some
specified machines. Some machines need to set up BIOS after
you install memory module. Please refer to the user's manual.
Install memory module to the note PC which has resume
function, it could possibly delete all resume. We recommend
you to make a back-up before you do so. |

Turn off the
computer and disconnect the AC power cord. before you
install memory module. |

The human
body has static electricity strong enough to destroy
devices. It depends on the weather, circumstances, and
also materials of clothing. Therefore before you touch
it, please be sure that you are discharged of static
electricity by briefly touching a grounded metal
object. |
|
Please
install memory module correctly checking the shape of
memory socket. If you turn on the computer putting in a
memory module in reverse, or imperfectly, a part of
module and/or machines might be damaged. |
|
When you
install memory module, please do not exert too much
pressure such as by pushing too hard or twisting. It
could cause malfunction, damage and/or disconnection of
devices, or breakage of the wiring pattern of
board. |
 Please note that warranty
does not apply to damage caused by improper use or
mis-handling and also does not apply to damage to the
computer.

| ■ BEFORE YOU TURN
ON THE COMPUTER |
Please check for the following
possible problems.

- Both sides of the retainer
tabs do not hold the module perfectly, or the socket
is too tight to install the module.
- The module pin does not
match to the socket by a large margin.
|
If you find one of the above
situations, please disconnect the module and check the
followings:
|
|
- Does the memory module
match to the shape of the socket?
- Is the memory module seated
in the correct position?
- Does the memory module
and/or the socket have any obstruction?
- Is there any change in the
socket pin's shape or position?(Damaged machine)
|
|
|
If machine or memory module does not
function properly, turn off the computer. Remove the
memory module. Reinstall the memory module and turn on
the computer once again. If the problem is not
rectified, please contact the shop where you purchased
it or Century Micro Customer Support
